Me

Moneypenny

In 2019, I assumed the role of Head of Creative at Moneypenny. My initial responsibility involved organising content and establishing a system to enhance the brand and streamline processes. Concurrently, Moneypenny had initiated collaboration with a branding agency, formerly known as Brand Cap but now called Yondel, to revamp the brand’s strategy, tone of voice, and visual identity as part of the investor process. Following this, my subsequent task was to develop comprehensive brand guidelines to ensure a consistent and effective brand rollout.

Structuring the Design System and Leading the Brand Launch

Why?

Efficiency: Design systems empower designers, marketers, and developers to enhance efficiency by reusing components and controlling content, rather than recreating similar elements from scratch.

Consistency: Design Systems introduce a shared set of principles and rules to build components. It becomes much easier to create consistent experiences across different platforms.

Scale: Increased efficiency and consistency lead a company to build faster products and collateral at scale.

Typography, spacing, and structure

When developing our design system, we paid significant attention to typography spacing and structure. We ensured consistent guidelines, balanced layouts, and a clear typographic hierarchy. This systematic approach resulted in a unified and polished aesthetic, enhancing the user experience and brand perception.

Data visualisation

Establishing a data visualization style at Moneypenny encompasses the transformation of complex data into insightful dashboards and infographics. This approach ensures consistency in presenting data, fosters a recognizable brand image, and promotes a culture of data-driven insights. It reflects our commitment to clarity, precision, and innovation in the way we convey information throughout the organization.

User Interface Components

As we create products, we prioritize efficiency and consistency in our design process. That’s why we use a design system that utilizes micro components to build larger elements. By breaking down our designs into reusable components, we save time and effort across projects. This approach streamlines our workflow, ensuring a consistent design language and user experience. Each micro component is carefully crafted and tested, allowing us to confidently assemble them like building blocks. This enables us to deliver high-quality products efficiently, while maintaining a polished brand identity. Our design system empowers us to create exceptional user experiences with speed, precision, and creativity.

Web process

Elementor serves as a versatile WordPress page builder, essential for creating custom landing pages and conducting A/B testing to optimize user experiences. Contentful, on the other hand, excels at full website builds, efficiently managing content across comprehensive websites.

In the realm of optimization, AB Tasty and Google Optimize provide experimentation and personalization platforms, enhancing user interactions and campaign effectiveness. Hotjar offers crucial analytics insights through heatmaps and session recordings, guiding design enhancements.

Adding to this arsenal is Dragonfly AI, an innovative, multi-channel predictive visual analytics tool that employs Artificial Intelligence (AI) and neuroscience. It instantly identifies what the human brain sees first, empowering content producers to optimize their content across various formats, whether it’s moving, static, digital, or physical. This comprehensive ecosystem of Elementor, Contentful, AB Tasty, Hotjar, and Dragonfly AI ensures an exceptional user experience, spanning landing pages, website builds, content personalization, and content optimization.

Photo and Video Shoots and Briefing Process in the UK and US

I’m responsible for coordinating and planning photoshoots in both Wrexham and Atlanta. This involved handling logistics, timelines, and creative concepts for each shoot. In Wrexham, I carefully selected locations that perfectly reflected our brand’s essence and aligned with our products and services. Working alongside a talented photography team, we collaborated to capture the desired visuals. Similarly, in Atlanta, I worked closely with local professionals, including stylists, who shared our brand’s vision. By carefully orchestrating these photoshoots, we successfully produced captivating visuals that truly represented Moneypenny and resonated with our target audience.

Content

In creating Moneypenny’s content style, the goal was to infuse a sense of fun, playfulness, and engagement, distinct from the company’s core brand identity. The selected color palette combines vibrant and lively tones, evoking a sense of excitement and interaction. Content guidelines encourage a casual, friendly, and engaging tone, appealing to a broad audience and making Moneypenny’s messages approachable and entertaining. This approach contributes to a playful and captivating online and offline presence for the brand.

Events

At leading sector events, Moneypenny takes a multifaceted approach to engage and leave a lasting impression. Event stands are thoughtfully crafted, offering a fusion of Moneypenny’s brand identity and the event’s theme, ensuring they are eye-catching and memorable. Interactive games provide attendees with a dynamic and enjoyable learning experience. Tailored literature and compelling videos communicate the company’s expertise effectively. Branded merchandise serves as tangible reminders of the brand, and interactive content sparks meaningful conversations with event-goers. This comprehensive strategy guarantees that Moneypenny stands out and creates a lasting impact at these prominent industry gatherings.
